By Low Life
Buffalo-based arts professor Mike Parker has been crafting his twisted take on techno for quite some time now. The haunting feel that is created by his dense minimal sound resonates deeply at core level, lingering dark and long, well after the music fades. Carrying a weight of intensity that demands absolute attention, this tome of tone journeys to places that others cannot, or dare not. It has the qualities of diving deep down into an inky ocean, holding what you know to be the last ever breath terrifying, yet perversely liberating. Truly sonic meditation, but not for the masses.
